Embodiment & the nervous system
Understanding ourselves is the beginning. But how do we actually live the change?
On stress, control and the pressure to perform, and how to bring the body and breath into our inner work.
Understanding ourselves is the beginning. But how do we actually live the change?
On stress, control and the pressure to perform, and how to bring the body and breath into our inner work.
How to stand by yourself, even when others don’t like it.
On boundaries, the need for approval and the courage to decide without waiting for everyone else to agree.
Knowing what I desire. And allowing myself to experience it.
On our own desire, intimacy and exploring femininity without the pressure to live up to other people’s expectations.
Our worth isn’t measured by how we look.
On appearance, food and control. How to tell when we’re caring for ourselves and when we’re trying to earn acceptance.
We don’t need to be perfectly healed to start living.
On accepting the past, taking responsibility for our own lives, and the moment when understanding has to turn into a decision.
Some escapes cost us our health. Others earn us admiration.
On addiction, and on escaping into work, achievement or constant busyness. All the things we do so we don’t have to feel.
I knew how to change my body.
Learning to feel good in it took much longer.
I’ve been through extremes with food and exercise, through addiction, and for years I believed that looking better would make me worth more. That’s why my work today is about the relationship we have with ourselves and with our bodies.
For more than ten years, I’ve worked with women, bringing together nutrition, breathwork, somatics and femininity. I created the Heal&GLOW® method, and more than 3,000 women have gone through my programs.
On stage, I talk openly about what this looks like in real life. Why we keep pushing even when we have nothing left. Why we say yes when we mean no. And why we wait until we’re “good enough” before we let ourselves have so much of what we want.
